In the real world we are constantly confronted with new obligations and along with them we often have to sign written contracts. This is your opportunity to move one step closer to adulthood and it's responsibilties and freedoms. The current "NOW" generation will not be stifled by additional driving requirements prior to earning their driving privilege. Certified Driving Contract
In order for you ___________________________, to anticipate your driver's license and maintain your driving privilege you must abide by the following rules:
1) Participate in a 8 hour defensive driving program provided by a qualified instructor.
2) Drive with a parent for at least 50 documented hours at various times during the day and night and in various weather and road conditions.
3) Once you have passed the state exam and requirements, there will no other passengers in you car for a period of 6 months. An exception to this would if we, your parents, authorize your siblings to be in the car with you.
4) You will not be a passenger in a car unless the driver has more than 6 months experience behind the wheel with a valid driver's license.
5) No cell phone usage and this will be monitored through monthly statments. Punishment will be car restrictions.
6) You will participate in the regular physical maintenance of the car through documented log books and activities completed. This includes keeping the car clean and knowledge of the car manual.
